Final Notes From The Field

Photo: Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day – view from KCMC grounds

Dear friends,

I have been home now for several weeks now, and very busy catching up on activities around the house and the farm. In this update I will provide a description of my final couple of weeks in Tanzania and tell you about a couple of the newly sponsored students and their stories.

Still More Notes From The Field…

Dear Friends,

Since my last newsletter, I have been to Mbeya, Tukuyu and Dar es Salaam.

I travelled by bus directly to Mbeya and continued to Tukuyu, which is close to the Malawi border. At the Tukuyu School of Nursing I delivered some items that had been donated by the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing—educational materials, blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes.

More Notes From The Field

Dear Friends,

Now, let me start with an overview of my travel in Tanzania. After starting in Moshi, at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, I travelled to Dodoma by bus (approximately 10 hours) and from there I travelled by bus to Mbeya and Tukuyu (approximately 10 hours). From Tukuyu I will head back to Mbeya, fly to Dar es Salaam for a short visit and then return by bus to Moshi.
